Boyle brace brings Rangers back to Earth
Australia's Martin Boyle netted a double for Hibernian as Rangers was unable to reproduce the same level of performance as it did to down Celtic in the Old Firm as it blew a two-goal lead in a 3-3 draw away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
Philippe Clement's side had gone 2-0 up within the opening 19 minutes, with both goals coming from Hamza Igamane.
But the visitors were pegged back by a Martin Boyle brace either side of half-time, the latter of his two goals coming from the penalty spot after Ianis Hagi bundled over Josh Campbell.
Rangers fans thought they had wrapped up the three points in the 74th minute though, when Igamane completed his hat-trick with a first-time finish from Vaclav Cerny's cross.
But the visitors were pegged back once again when Rocky Bushiri headed in from a corner to equalise in the 83rd minute.
The rsult leaves Rangers 13 points adrift of Celtic at the top of the table after the Hoops beat St Mirren 3-0.
