Wolves grab rare win to knock Everton out of cup
Struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers downed fellow Premier League side Everton 2-0 to reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Vitor Pereira's team is pointless at the bottom of the Premier League after five straight defeats to start its season.
But it picked up its second win of the season at Molineux in thei competition, the result added to its 3-2 victory over West Ham United in the second round.
Marshall Munetsi put Wolves ahead in the first half, and although a below-par Everton side huffed and puffed – with James Garner hitting the crossbar – the hosts sealed victory when Tolu Arokodare raced through to score his first goal for the club.
