Juventus makes a winning start under Spalletti
Juventus made a winning start to life under Luciano Spalletti after edging out Cremonese 2-1 at Stadio Giovanni Zini in their Serie A clash.
Goals from Filip Kostic and Andrea Cambiaso were enough to make it back-to-back victories for the Bianconeri, who had been winless in five beforehand.
Just two minutes had elapsed when Kostic latched on to a loose ball in the hosts' box and fired past goalkeeper Emil Audero.
Audero, though, came to Cremonese's rescue later in the half, making smart saves to deny Dusan Vlahovic and Manuel Locatelli.
However, the second goal arrived midway through the second period, Cambiaso lashing home after Francisco Conceicao's deflected cross ricocheted kindly into his path.
Jamie Vardy halved the deficit seven minutes from time, racing in behind the defence and finishing across goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.
But it proved a consolation for the hosts as Juve ensured a winning beginning for Spalletti, who replaced Igor Tudor earlier this week as head coach.
