Donald Trump Predicts the Winner of Super Bowl LXI: Kansas City Chiefs or Philadelphia Eagles?
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has made his Super Bowl LXI prediction, backing the Kansas City Chiefs to win against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday in New Orleans.
Trump Chooses Mahomes and the Chiefs
In an interview with Fox News, Trump explained his reasoning for supporting Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs:
"When a quarterback wins as much as he has, I have to go with Kansas City. I have to go with Kansas City."
Despite picking the Chiefs, Trump acknowledged the strength of their rivals, stating: "Philadelphia has a fantastic team, so it's going to be a great game."
A Historic Super Bowl Attendance
Trump is expected to attend the game in New Orleans, making history as the first sitting U.S. president to be present at a Super Bowl in its 59-year history.
Earlier this week, during a White House press conference, Trump had already hinted at his admiration for Mahomes, saying:
"There’s a certain quarterback who seems to be a pretty solid winner."
When asked about Trump’s comments, Mahomes responded:
"It’s great to hear that he has watched how I play football and respects my style of play."
With Super Bowl LXI set to take place, the spotlight is on Mahomes and the Chiefs as they chase another championship, while the Eagles look to avenge their previous Super Bowl defeat. Will Trump's prediction be correct, or will Philadelphia prove him wrong on the grandest stage?
