Jalen Hurts, Eagles Champion, Admits that Losing Super Bowl LVII Changed his Soul
Jalen Hurts, quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles and MVP of Super Bowl LIX, stated that the defeat suffered two years ago in the NFL final transformed his mindset and competitive spirit. Last Sunday, Hurts led the Eagles to a dominant 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, securing the championship in a long-awaited rematch.
"The joy of winning the Super Bowl didn’t compare to the pain of losing it. I learned how to process everything after that game, I understood where my heart was, and it changed my soul. All the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears made this year even more meaningful," Hurts confessed during the team's celebration at Lincoln Financial Field.
The 26-year-old quarterback explained why he kept a serious face in the final quarter of the game, despite his team having the victory secured. "I was trying to process it, and even today, I still am. I was completely focused on the moment. I had no comparison for this feeling, only the pain of losing before," he expressed.

An unforgettable title for the Eagles
The championship also left a deep impact on his teammates. James Bradberry, the team's cornerback, highlighted the pride of winning his first championship ring. "I will always be able to say I’m a Super Bowl champion. I’m part of this," he said. Meanwhile, Isaiah Rodgers celebrated with a tattoo on his calf, featuring the final score and the Super Bowl LIX logo.
The Philadelphia Eagles are finalizing details for their victory parade this Friday, where they will celebrate with their fans the achievement of the Lombardi Trophy and their return to the top of the NFL.
