Michael Jordan’s Ferrari Found After 15 Years Missing
For over a decade, the whereabouts of the iconic Ferrari 512 TR Testarossa once owned by Michael Jordan remained a complete mystery. The luxury vehicle, part of the legend surrounding the greatest player in NBA history, vanished without a trace after being auctioned off in 2010. Now, 15 years later, the car has been found, reigniting fascination with the myth of the legendary Chicago Bulls number 23.
Michael Jordan’s Ferrari Found After 15 Years Missing
It all began in 1992, when Michael Jordan was spotted arriving at a Playoff game behind the wheel of a stunning Ferrari 512 TR Testarossa. With its personalized license plate and the unmistakable style that always defined him, the car quickly became part of the Jordan mystique. He was even photographed with the car in front of his famous mansion in Highland Park, Illinois, shortly after it was delivered on February 29, 1992.

Years later, on October 13, 1995, Jordan sold the Ferrari to Chris Gardner, the entrepreneur whose life story inspired the film The Pursuit of Happyness, starring Will Smith. Gardner proudly drove the car with a custom license plate that read “Not MJ,” making it clear it no longer belonged to the basketball superstar.
But in 2010, after being sold for about $100,000 at auction, the Ferrari completely disappeared. There were no leads, and both fans and rare car collectors were left wondering where this piece of sports history had gone.
The mystery was finally solved by Curated, a company specializing in rare and exotic vehicles, which recently tracked down the car’s final owner. According to John Temerian, co-founder of the company, the car had been carefully stored away and kept in pristine condition for all these years. “There are moments in this business that truly give you chills. Finding this Ferrari was like closing a chapter on a long-unsolved mystery,” Temerian said.
With its original license plate, fully preserved condition, and the aura only a car driven by Michael Jordan can carry, the Testarossa is making headlines once again. This is more than just a car—it’s a symbol of one of the greatest athletes of all time.
