Stephen Curry Has No Limits: 4,000 Three-Pointers to Celebrate His 37th Birthday
This Friday, Stephen Curry celebrates his 37th birthday with a new milestone in his impressive career. The leader of the Golden State Warriors reached 4,000 three-pointers in the NBA, a historic mark that elevates his basketball legacy even further. The achievement came during Thursday night's game against the Sacramento Kings, where the Warriors won 130-104.
In the third quarter of the game, Curry made his 4,000th three-pointer, a moment that came just before his birthday. After the game, the Warriors' star point guard expressed that reaching this milestone was beyond his "wildest dreams." Despite not needing to exert much physical effort, he finished with 11 points, two rebounds, and five assists in a solid performance for his team.
This new record comes at a time when Curry continues to solidify his place in basketball history. Since December 2021, he has been the NBA's all-time leader in three-pointers, surpassing Ray Allen's 2,973. Currently, Curry leads the chart with a 873 three-pointer advantage over second-place James Harden, who has 3,127. In third place is Ray Allen with 2,973, and fourth is Damian Lillard, who is closing in on the podium with 2,794.
This record not only reaffirms his status as one of the greatest players in history but also highlights his impact on the style of play in the NBA. Curry revolutionized basketball with his ability to score from virtually anywhere on the court, and his playing style has inspired a new generation of players to perfect their three-point shooting.
An Unstoppable Legacy
Throughout his career, Stephen Curry has won four NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors, the most recent being in 2022 after a memorable Finals series against the Boston Celtics. Although the Warriors have not been contenders for the title in recent seasons, this year seems to signal a resurgence, particularly with the addition of Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat. With his excellent physical form and leadership ability, Curry and the Warriors are back in the hunt for another championship.
Currently, the team coached by Steve Kerr sits in sixth place in the Western Conference, with an 11-1 record in their last 12 games. Hope has returned to the Bay Area, and with Curry in peak form, there are no limits to what the Golden State Warriors can achieve this season.
