NBA Announces European Tour Over the Next Three Years
The NBA confirmed official games in Europe for 2026, 2027, and 2028, kicking off with matchups between the Grizzlies and Magic in Berlin and London. The initiative aims to connect with fans and local communities across the region.
The Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic will headline regular season games in Berlin and London as part of the league's international expansion.
Berlin and London Set to Host 2026 Matchups
The NBA announced on Wednesday a significant step in its international expansion by confirming a European tour that includes regular season games over the next three years. The first two clashes will take place in 2026, with the Memphis Grizzlies facing the Orlando Magic on January 15 in Berlin's Uber Arena and again on January 18 at The O2 in London.
This marks the first time an official NBA game will be played in Berlin, while London remains a regular international destination for the league.
Manchester and Paris to Follow in 2027 and 2028
Beyond the 2026 fixtures, the NBA has already confirmed additional games for 2027 and 2028. Matches are scheduled to be held at Co-op Live in Manchester and Accor Arena in Paris, with details regarding teams and dates to be announced at a later stage.
In addition to the games, both the Grizzlies—featuring Spanish forward Santi Aldama—and the Magic will participate in community outreach efforts as part of the NBA Cares program. These will include youth basketball clinics, coach and referee development sessions, and interactive fan activities in Berlin and London.
George Aivazoglou, NBA General Manager for Europe and the Middle East, highlighted the significance of the initiative: “The announcement of these upcoming regular season games across Europe reflects the tremendous momentum and growing interest in NBA basketball throughout Germany, France, the UK, and the entire region.”
Jason Wexler, President of the Grizzlies, and Charlie Freeman, President of Business Operations for the Magic, both emphasized the pride and opportunity involved in representing their franchises on the global stage. The European tour is set to further strengthen the league's global footprint and deepen its ties with basketball fans abroad.
