What began as a co-main event has turned into the headline attraction, as YodUdon K Tongtalingchan and Khunsuk T1 Fight Academy now step into the main event spotlight at ONE Friday Fights 176 at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, October 30. Before the two knockout artists collide in their atomweight Muay Thai showdown, here’s a closer look at the paths that brought them to this moment.
YodUdon’s Journey Began With A Hard-Headed Kid And A Determined Father
YodUdon’s introduction to Muay Thai came at just 7 years old, pushed into training by a father who recognized his son needed an outlet for his stubborn, hard-headed nature.
It didn’t take long for the sport to become something far more meaningful than discipline alone. YodUdon quickly discovered he had a knack for earning money through fighting, a realization that would shape the rest of his life.

But his path wasn’t without hardship. YodUdon’s family worked a small farm to get by, and tragedy struck early when he lost his mother to cancer at a young age, just 13 years old at the time. Despite the loss, his father has remained one of his biggest supporters, and today, he’s thrilled to see his son finally reach the biggest stage of his career with his ONE Championship.
YodUdon’s motivation now extends well beyond himself. Though he and his wife have since gone their separate ways, he remains deeply committed to providing a better future for their young son, who has become the driving force behind every fight he takes.
Khunsuk Turned Being Bullied Into A Path Toward A Sports Science Degree
Khunsuk’s story began under very different circumstances. At just 10 years old, his father witnessed him being bullied and made the decision to enroll him in Muay Thai training for self-defense purposes.

The results were immediate; once Khunsuk began fighting back, nobody dared target him again. With a newfound confidence and realization that he had a knack for the striking arts, he decided to test his luck in competition. He went on to win his very first fight by knockout, and from there, he was hooked, discovering both genuine enjoyment in the sport and a reliable way to earn a living.
Khunsuk’s family moved frequently in search of stability, as his parents worked odd jobs. Eventually, they relocated to Bangkok for factory work and later shifted again toward farming. Through it all, Khunsuk has used Muay Thai not just as a career, but as a means to better himself academically. He currently attends school on Sundays, working toward a sports science degree, with his fight earnings directly funding his education.
Beyond the ring, Khunsuk has reconnected deeply with his roots. After 20 years away, he returned to his hometown of Songkhla, describing the visit as both relaxing and emotional, especially as locals recognized and supported him. He’s since used his success to give back, purchasing land for his family that he’s lent to relatives for vegetable farming. Most recently, Khunsuk was ordained as a monk following the passing of his grandmother, a deeply personal chapter in his ongoing journey.
Two Very Different Visions Of The Future
For YodUdon, this opportunity represents far more than a paycheck. The 22-year-old views competing in ONE Championship as a chance to showcase the true beauty of Muay Thai to a global audience, while chasing a contract that would allow him to properly support his son and the rest of his family. But it all starts at ONE Friday Fights 176, where he hopes to grab his 59th career victory.

Khunsuk, meanwhile, is thinking both practically and ambitiously. In the immediate future, the 28-year-old hopes to expand his family’s durian farm, a tangible investment in his loved ones’ livelihood. But his long-term vision reaches even further, as he continues grinding toward the ultimate goal of one day becoming a ONE World Champion. That mission continues in the main event, where he plans to earn his 67th career win.
