(VIDEO) Cristiano Ronaldo Reaches 920 Career Goals in Al Nassr's 3-1 Victory
Cristiano Ronaldo continues to break records in his illustrious career. On Saturday, the Portuguese star scored his 920th career goal during Al Nassr's 3-1 win over Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League. The milestone goal came in the 88th minute, securing the team’s second consecutive victory and leaving Ronaldo just 80 goals away from the mythical 1,000 career goals mark.
Ronaldo's Decisive Finish
Ronaldo capped off the match with a signature moment. After receiving a precise cross from Senegalese forward Sadio Mané, the 38-year-old delivered a clinical finish past Hungarian goalkeeper Peter Szappanos. The Portuguese star found the net again during stoppage time, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
Earlier in the match, Al Nassr took the lead thanks to an own goal by Marwane Saadane in the 41st minute, followed by a second-half strike from Frenchman Mohamed Simakan, assisted by Brazilian teammate Angelo. Despite a goal from Moroccan forward Mourad Batna narrowing the margin for Al Fateh, Ronaldo ensured the result with his late contribution.
Al Nassr Climbs the Table
The victory moves Al Nassr, under the guidance of manager Stefano Pioli, into third place in the Saudi Pro League standings, just one point ahead of Al Qadisiya, who sit fourth. However, Al Nassr remains eight points behind league leaders Al Hilal and Al Ittihad, who are tied at the top of the table.
