Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Goal No. 932 for Al Nassr, Inches Closer to 1000-Goal Milestone
Cristiano Ronaldo added another chapter to his legendary career on Friday, netting his 932nd professional goal in Al Nassr’s 3-1 derby victory over Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. The 40-year-old forward bagged a brace in one of the league’s most anticipated clashes of the season, proving once again that his quest to reach 1,000 career goals is still very much alive.
Ronaldo Ignites Second-Half Surge
The turning point came just two minutes into the second half, when Ronaldo capitalized on a slick transition involving Marcelo Brozović and Sadio Mané to slot home Al Nassr’s second goal of the night.
Brozović had already made his mark earlier in the match, delivering a precise corner just before halftime that allowed Ali Al Hassan to blast in a stunning opener from the edge of the box.
Redemption and the Final Blow
Al Nassr had chances to extend their lead before the break, most notably when Jhon Durán squandered a golden opportunity after being set up by Aiman Yahya. But the Colombian forward made amends late in the match by drawing a handball penalty against Moteb Al Harbi.
Ronaldo calmly stepped up and converted from the spot to seal the 3-1 win, notching his 21st league goal of the season and solidifying his spot as the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer.
With this victory, Al Nassr remain in third place, just three points behind Al Ahli and seven off leaders Al Ittihad, who face Al Ahli on Saturday in a pivotal top-of-the-table clash.
