Kylian Mbappé Joins Real Madrid Elite After a Brilliant Individual Season
Kylian Mbappé ha brillado con luz propia en su primera temporada con el Real Madrid, destacando como uno de los mejores goleadores de Europa, a pesar de la ausencia de títulos nacionales para su equipo.
Impressive Debut in the White Shirt
In his debut campaign with Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé showed exactly why he considered one of the best forwards in the world. Although the Merengues failed to win any domestic silverware, the French striker maintained an exceptional level of performance, scoring in key matches—even in defeats such as El Clásico against FC Barcelona.
Mbappé finished La Liga with 31 goals in 34 matches, beating Poland Robert Lewandowski by four goals, who was the defending Pichichi Trophy holder. It’s worth noting that after 28 rounds, the Barça forward had the lead, but an injury prevented him from continuing, while Mbappé capitalized and pulled ahead.
In total, the Frenchman tallied 42 goals in 55 matches across all competitions, marking the highest goal-scoring record ever for a player in their debut season with Real Madrid.

Third Real Madrid Player to Win the European Golden Shoe
Thanks to his outstanding performance, Mbappé also claimed the European Golden Shoe, awarded to the top scorer in Europe domestic leagues. He became just the third Real Madrid player to earn this accolade, joining Hugo Sánchez (1989–90) and Cristiano Ronaldo, who won it three times (2010–11, 2013–14, and 2014–15).
Mbappé is the first to win it since Cristiano last did in the 2014–15 season, reinforcing his ambition to follow in the Portuguese star footsteps and establish himself as a club legend.
Mbappé Sets His Sights High Under Xabi Alonso
At 26 years old, the French forward has already made his mark in his first year as a Madridista. While he only managed to lift the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup on a team level, his ambition goes far beyond personal achievements.
Under the guidance of new head coach Xabi Alonso, Mbappé will aim to lead the team to greater titles such as La Liga and the Champions League. He also has the chance to add another major trophy to his collection with the FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in the summer before the 2025–26 season.
