However, he has always been clear that he wouldn’t take on any project this season. “Until June, I want peace. After that, we’ll see what the market has in store. But I think by then, I’ll be ready for a project that excites me to win.”

A statement of intent… which he reaffirmed by putting himself on the market starting in the summer: “I need to rest until June, and after that, I’ll listen to offers from clubs or national teams. I like challenges that motivate me. Whatever comes, it has to be a challenge that excites me and is aimed at winning titles,” said Xavi Hernández.
