Could Karim Benzema Be Left Without a Club?
The future of Karim Benzema is once again surrounded by uncertainty. The Ballon d’Or winner could leave Al-Hilal just a few months after his arrival, with any potential decision directly depending on the moves the club makes during the final days of the transfer window.
According to Saudi journalist Ahmed Al-Ajlan, Al-Hilal are considering reaching a financial agreement with Benzema to terminate his contract if they manage to sign a new striker during the summer transfer window. For now, it remains a possibility being discussed rather than a confirmed departure.
Benzema’s Frustration Raises Questions
The report comes shortly after an incident that attracted attention during Al-Hilal’s opening match of the Saudi Pro League season.
Simone Inzaghi’s team defeated Al-Faisaly 4-2, with Benzema scoring from the penalty spot in the first half. However, the French striker showed his frustration after being substituted during the second half.
Inzaghi played down the situation after the match, explaining that it is normal for a player to want to remain on the field for as long as possible. Even so, the incident comes at a time when the club’s management is reportedly considering bringing in another striker.
Benzema has delivered goals since his arrival. The Frenchman has scored 10 times in 14 appearances for Al-Hilal, impressive numbers for a player who is still in the early stages of his time with the club.
He has also already lifted the King’s Cup, although the Saudi club’s management is reportedly considering different options to strengthen its attack once again.

Another Complicated Exit for Benzema?
The situation inevitably brings back memories of how his spell with Al-Ittihad ended.
Benzema arrived in Saudi Arabia as one of the league’s biggest stars following a historic career with Real Madrid, but his time in Saudi soccer has included several moments of tension.
Now another question has emerged.
If Al-Hilal find the striker they are looking for and reach an agreement to terminate the Frenchman’s contract, Benzema would have to search for a new destination with the transfer window already well underway.
That does not necessarily mean he would be left without a club. His name, remarkable career and goalscoring ability would likely attract interest if he eventually becomes a free agent.
Still, it would be remarkable to see a player who won the Ballon d’Or in 2022 and continues to produce in front of goal facing another uncertain future.
For now, Karim Benzema remains an Al-Hilal player.
