Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund delivered a thrilling 2-2 draw this Saturday in Matchday 29 of the Bundesliga, as both sides reignited their fierce rivalry in a high-octane encounter filled with drama and late goals.

First-half dominance by Bayern goes unrewarded

Despite an early threat from Julian Brandt, it was Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern who dominated the first 45 minutes, pinning Dortmund deep with relentless high pressing, quick transitions, and pinpoint switches of play.

But Gregor Kobel had other plans. The Swiss goalkeeper pulled off key saves to deny Michael Olise in the 40th minute and Harry Kane just before the break, keeping the visitors in the game with crucial interventions.

Second-half fireworks light up the Klassiker

Against the run of play, Dortmund struck first after halftime. In the 48th minute, Maximilian Beier connected with a deep cross, passed it to Julian Ryerson, who returned it for Beier to head home the opener and stun the Allianz Arena.

Bayern responded quickly. In the 58th minute, Raphaël Guerreiro equalized after a well-orchestrated move initiated by Serge Gnabry, who beat his man down the left and linked up with Thomas Müller, setting up the Portuguese for the finish.

Just over ten minutes later, Gnabry turned scorer, blasting Bayern into the lead in the 69th minute after weaving past the defense and unleashing a powerful shot from close range.

But the Klassiker was far from over. Dortmund clawed back in the 78th minute through Waldemar Anton, who capitalized on a rebound from a Serhou Guirassy header following a corner, sealing the final 2-2 scoreline.
