Canadian player Alphonso Davies will be sidelined indefinitely due to a muscle tear in his left thigh, as confirmed by Bayern Munich's medical team on Thursday.

Bayern’s Alternatives and Upcoming Matches

In the left-back position, usually occupied by Davies, the club can rely on Portuguese player Raphael Guerreiro for the upcoming games.

Davies has already been ruled out for Saturday’s Bundesliga match against Freiburg and next week’s final group-stage clash in the UEFA Champions League against Slovan Bratislava. 

The critical question now is whether Davies will recover in time for February 15, when Bayern Munich faces Bayer Leverkusen, coached by Xabi Alonso, in a crucial Bundesliga showdown.

Bayern Munich currently leads the Bundesliga, with Leverkusen, the reigning champion, trailing closely by four points.
