Over the past year and a half, he played for Bayern Munich, appearing in 47 matches (37 as a starter), winning the Bundesliga, and reaching the Champions League quarterfinals. His departure follows a season of ups and downs, alternating between starting and coming off the bench under Vincent Kompany.

Before moving to Germany, Dier spent the majority of his career at Tottenham Hotspur, where he was a defensive mainstay for a decade. He made over 360 appearances for the club, including the memorable 2019 Champions League final against Liverpool. He began his professional journey in Portugal with Sporting CP, where he also obtained Portuguese citizenship.
