Jamal Musiala has publicly explained the reason behind the two episodes he recently experienced with Bayern Munich. The German international collapsed in consecutive matches, first against RB Leipzig and then against Heidenheim, raising concerns about his health.

Following the second incident, Musiala released a statement to reassure fans and revealed that doctors had diagnosed him with brief, temporary absence episodes related to a neurological dysfunction.

"The most important thing first: I’m doing well!" the player began, acknowledging that he understands the concern caused by the images of his recent collapses.

Musiala Explains What Causes the Episodes

According to Musiala, these are occasional episodes that can lead to moments like those experienced in his last two matches, but they are treatable. The midfielder said he is currently receiving specialized medical care and remains optimistic about his condition.

The first episode occurred during the friendly against RB Leipzig, when the German international collapsed on the pitch after coming on and scoring. Days later, a similar situation occurred against Heidenheim, forcing him to leave the match once again.

"These episodes can explain some of the moments that have happened recently, like the one against Leipzig and now in Heidenheim," he explained.

Musiala Says He Can Continue Playing

One of Musiala’s main clarifications was that, according to the specialists monitoring his case, his condition does not pose any additional risk to his health.

The player explained that he remains in constant communication with neurological specialists and has received medical clearance to continue with his everyday life and keep playing soccer. He also said it was his personal decision to face the situation this way.

Musiala also highlighted the support he has received from Bayern Munich, those closest to him, and the doctors overseeing his condition.
