After losing last year’s final to Al-Ahly, Espérance de Tunis will undoubtedly be looking to start strong and establish themselves as serious title contenders.

"I believe all the players are ready for tomorrow's match. However, I think the media misinterpreted what I said before the last game. What I meant was that I didn't have all the players available. Many were with their national teams, and I didn't have enough time to prepare the team with everyone together," admitted Laurențiu Reghecampf, the head coach of the Tunisian side.

On the other hand, Djoliba AC, the Malian champions, have maintained an impressive unbeaten run since May across all competitions. Under the guidance of their coach Mbemba Traoré, the team recently clinched the Mali National Cup title after defeating Stade Malien in the final.
