Learn about the prize system of the 2025 Copa Libertadores
Once the group stage draw was held, where a beautiful tribute was made to the late Juan Izquierdo, the 32 participating teams in the 2025 Copa Libertadores now know who their first opponents will be as they aim to reach the Round of 16 and start eyeing the big financial reward that the tournament champion will earn.

The champion of the 2025 Copa Libertadores will receive 23 million dollars
According to reports previously presented by CONMEBOL, the champion of the 2025 Copa Libertadores will receive a monetary amount of 23 million dollars... while the team that becomes the runner-up of the tournament will receive seven million dollars. This is the same amount received by Botafogo (champion) and Atlético Mineiro (runner-up) during the previous edition of the tournament.
However, all teams will receive different bonuses based on how they progress through the various stages of the 2025 Copa Libertadores. Just for participating in the group stage, CONMEBOL will allocate a pool of 96 million dollars to be distributed among the 32 participating teams. This is a substantial financial amount crucial for many of the more economically modest clubs.
