Deportivo Táchira completed a stunning comeback against The Strongest in the Copa Libertadores 2026 first phase. After losing 2-1 in the first leg, Táchira won 1-0 at the Polideportivo de Pueblo Nuevo, forcing the tie to penalties.

Rodrigo Pollero scored the decisive goal for the Venezuelan side, breaking The Strongest’s defense and keeping fans on the edge of their seats. In the penalty shootout, Táchira executed perfectly, winning 5-3 and advancing to face Deportes Tolima in the next round.
