Caracas Edges Metropolitanos on Penalties in Copa Sudamericana Clash
Caracas FC booked their spot in the Copa Sudamericana group stage with a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Metropolitanos FC after a goalless draw.
In a tightly contested encounter that remained 0-0 after regulation time, Caracas emerged victorious in the penalty shootout 4-3 to secure advancement in the Copa Sudamericana.
Luis Maestre, Mauricio Márquez, Lucciano Reinoso and Francisco La Mantía all converted from the spot for Caracas, while their opponents netted three penalties in return. The match was decided from the spot after neither side could break the deadlock during open play.

With this result, Caracas moves into the group stage of the tournament and sets up its next challenge on the continental stage.
