The young striker, continuing to showcase his talent in his first season with the club, latched onto a through ball and finished with composure.

Leganés, however, refused to give up and fought back, finding their first goal in the 39th minute when Juan Cruz converted a penalty to cut the deficit before halftime. In the second half, Cruz struck again in the 58th minute, igniting the Butarque crowd and putting Real Madrid under serious pressure.

Just when extra time seemed inevitable, Gonzalo García stepped up in stoppage time (93') with a precise header to score the decisive goal. The academy player, who came on in the final minutes, became the unexpected hero and secured Real Madrid’s place in the next round.
