Dani Olmo Delivers Great News for Barcelona
The forward has been medically cleared and included in the squad for Thursday's Copa del Rey match against Valencia.
Barcelona forward Dani Olmo has been medically cleared and has been called up for Thursday night's Copa del Rey quarter-final clash against Valencia at Mestalla.
Olmo sustained an injury on January 18 during the match against Getafe, with medical tests confirming a strain in his right soleus muscle.
As a result, the midfielder has missed the last four matches—LaLiga games against Valencia and Alavés, as well as Champions League fixtures against Benfica and Atalanta.
Pablo Páez Gaviria 'Gavi' is not included in the squad after suffering a head contusion against Alavés, requiring a short rest due to medical protocol.
Long-term absentees Marc-André ter Stegen and Marc Bernal, along with the injured Andreas Christensen, are also missing from the squad.
Full squad list:
Cubarsí, Balde, Araujo, Íñigo Martínez, Ferran, Pedri, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Iñaki Peña, Pablo Torre, Fermín, Casadó, Pau Víctor, Lamine Yamal, Olmo, De Jong, Koundé, Eric, Szczesny, Kochen, Héctor Fort, and Gerard Martín.
