Al Ahly Fans Take Over Miami and Celebrate Like Cristiano Ronaldo
The Egyptian giants didn’t just bring their star players to the FIFA Club World Cup—they also brought a passionate sea of fans who lit up the streets of Miami with chants, flags, and CR7-style celebrations.
Al Ahly Turns Miami Into Its Second Home
The city of Miami witnessed a true red wave. Supporters of Al Ahly, widely regarded as the most passionate fans in Africa, flooded the area around the Hard Rock Stadium with unmatched energy. With shirts, banners, and chants echoing for miles, the Egyptian side proved its greatness extends beyond trophies—it lives in the hearts of its people.
“Al Ahly is number one in Africa and in Egypt. More than 80 million people support the club. It’s our life,” said fans who traveled from all over the world, some even flying in from Cairo, just to watch their team’s debut in the FIFA Club World Cup.
“The Club of the Century,” printed on shirts and flags, sums up what the club represents to its followers. Founded in 1907, Al Ahly is not only the most decorated team in Africa, but also one of the most followed worldwide.
CR7-Style Celebrations Take Over the Streets
During the match buildup and after the final whistle, dozens of fans could be seen mimicking Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic “Siuuu!” celebration. Some wore custom shirts that read “Al Ahly is better than Real Madrid,” while others shouted, “Al Ahly is my life, my luck.”
One of the most mentioned names among the crowd was Mohamed Afsha, a beloved figure at the club. “He said he’s going to score, and if he does, we’ll celebrate like CR7,” joked one fan while imitating Afsha’s signature in the air.

Far from exaggeration, the Al Ahly fan phenomenon was felt in every corner of Miami. From kids to senior supporters, everyone proudly wore the red of Africa’s most successful club.
When asked if they preferred Barcelona, Bayern Munich, or Real Madrid, their answer was always the same: “Al Ahly.” And at this year’s Club World Cup, they’re ready to prove it—with passion, football, and plenty of Ronaldo-style celebrations.
