Mbappé's Decision on Intercontinental Cup Final Against Pachuca
The French forward was injured. However, he was still included in the squad to face Pachuca, and now he has made a final decision regarding his participation.
According to Marca, Kylian Mbappé has given the green light to his recovery and confirmed his availability for the upcoming Copa Intercontinental final against Pachuca. Despite the injury that sidelined him from the match against Rayo Vallecano, Mbappé feels fully recovered and is eager to play for Real Madrid as he seeks his second title with the club.
The French forward had first experienced discomfort during a match against Atalanta. Although initial tests confirmed an injury, recovery reports indicated a quick turnaround, with Mbappé never fully ruled out of participating in the decisive match against Pachuca.
This Tuesday morning, Mbappé spoke with the medical staff, the recovery team, and coach Carlo Ancelotti. He reassured them all that he had fully recovered. His final test will come later today during a training session at the venue where Argentina claimed the World Cup in 2022, with Mbappé playing as the primary rival in that final.
Mbappé understands that to secure a starting position against Pachuca, he must prove his fitness in today's training. If all goes well, Ancelotti will include him in the starting lineup for the Copa Intercontinental final.
While there are no plans to take any risks, Mbappé is confident that he will be ready to take the field from the beginning. It's now up to him to demonstrate his readiness, showing both the coach and the medical staff that he's in top condition.
