In his reaction, the president shared a joyful hug with his advisor Enric Masip and, in an unrestrained gesture, made a mock gesture in the air, with his back to the camera, while celebrating with other executives and advisors from FC Barcelona.

This episode occurred inside the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, just minutes before the Supercopa de España semifinal match between Barcelona and Athletic Club. Laporta expressed his emotion, surrounded by his team, when he learned that Olmo and Pau Víctor’s licenses would remain active until the appeal is settled.

Impact on the Supercopa de España

The CSD suspended the agreement made by the Monitoring Commission of the RFEF-La Liga Coordination Agreement on January 4, which had canceled the sports licenses of Olmo and Pau Víctor. Now, the licenses of both players remain valid until the appeal is resolved.

Although Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor won't be available for the semifinal against Athletic Club, FC Barcelona is hopeful that they will be able to count on them for a possible final on Sunday, as confirmed by the club’s sporting director, Anderson Luis de Souza 'Deco', in statements to Movistar+.
