Marc Cucurella was officially unveiled on Monday as a new Real Madrid player in a ceremony held at Real Madrid City, following the same format the club has used for its new signings during the summer transfer window.

The left-back was joined by president Florentino Pérez and honorary president José Martínez 'Pirri', while also posing alongside the 15 European Cups won by the Spanish giants.

Unlike in previous years, the presentation was held without a press conference. Real Madrid had already used the same format to welcome José Mourinho, Denzel Dumfries, Carlos Espí, Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konaté.

Cucurella Sends His First Message to Real Madrid Fans

"Hello Madridistas, I'm very happy. It's a special day for me and my family, and I'm really looking forward to meeting you at the Bernabéu," Cucurella said in his first words as a new player for the club.

During the ceremony, Florentino Pérez welcomed the defender with a hug before the two watched a video highlighting his professional career.

The footage looked back at his spells with Espanyol, Barcelona, Eibar, Getafe, Brighton and Chelsea, as well as his World Cup triumph with Spain and his recent official debut for Real Madrid, which came against Espanyol.

Afterward, Cucurella, Florentino Pérez and Pirri posed with the left-back's jersey in front of the club's 15 European trophies.

Cucurella Dreams of Champions League Nights at the Bernabéu

Following his presentation, Cucurella spoke about what it means to wear the Real Madrid jersey and said he hopes to begin an era filled with trophies.

"It's an honor to wear the jersey of the best club in the world, considering everything it has won and everything it still has left to win. Hopefully, this will be a great era in which we can win many trophies," he said.

The Spaniard also admitted that Champions League nights at the Santiago Bernabéu have always impressed him, particularly because of the dramatic comebacks produced by Real Madrid.

Now, after experiencing the intimidating atmosphere of the stadium as an opponent, Cucurella will have the opportunity to experience it from the inside as he looks to win one of the trophies he desires most: the Champions League.
