Arda Güler Continues to Trust in the Plan of Real Madrid
Arda Güler spoke with ‘Marca’ after being a key figure in the Hungary vs Turkey match about his future at Real Madrid
It feels like every FIFA break is an oasis in the desert Arda Güler is experiencing at Real Madrid. Once again, beyond the confrontation he had with Szoboszlai, which extended to social media, he has once again become the leader of Turkey, which secured its promotion to League A of the Nations League after defeating Hungary.

Güler is happy with Turkey
Although he turned 20 less than a month ago, Arda Güler has already played 19 matches with Turkey since making his official debut in November 2022, when he was still a player for Fenerbahçe. A condition that, after shining in the Euro 2024, has made him the great leader of his national team, surpassing players with the experience of Hakan Calhanoglu.
“It was important for us to ascend to League A of the Nations League and leave here with this victory. We are very happy,” confessed Arda Güler, who scored one of the goals in Turkey's victory over Hungary, in a brief meeting he had with ‘Marca’ inside the Ferenc Puskas Stadium in Budapest. This is his fourth goal with the national team.
Güler doesn’t plan to leave Real Madrid
After two weeks of happiness with Turkey, it’s time to return to his reality at Real Madrid, where this season he has only been a starter in 10 of the 31 matches he has played. However, he still trusts the established plan. “I’m sure I will succeed at Madrid, I even bought a house in Madrid. I work very hard and am always ready to play, as you could see in this match against Hungary.”
A strong message in the middle of rumors placing him outside of Real Madrid next season if, in the end, Nico Paz's return is confirmed. “I love the Real Madrid fans, and their support is very valuable to me. I’m very grateful to them. I came to Real Madrid to play and be an important piece of this team. And I won’t stop fighting until I achieve that.”
