Ferran Torres Celebrates Barcelona’s LaLiga Title… from a Hospital Room
As FC Barcelona lifted their 28th LaLiga title on the pitch at the RCDE Stadium, one key player celebrated from a very different setting: a hospital room. Ferran Torres, who recently underwent appendicitis surgery, couldn’t join his teammates on the field—but that didn’t stop him from experiencing his own, heartfelt title celebration, complete with flan, close friends, and an unforgettable gesture.
A Celebration Away from the Spotlight
The Valencian forward watched the Catalan derby against Espanyol from the hospital, surrounded by a tight-knit group: lifelong friends, family, representatives, and club staff. Though the dinner was low-key, the atmosphere was electric. Lamine Yamal’s stunning goal and the confirmation of the 2-0 victory had everyone on their feet—even inside a hospital suite.
But the most touching moment came after the final whistle: Pedri, Dani Olmo, Iñigo Martínez, and Eric García—close friends and teammates—rode their bikes to the hospital to surprise Ferran and celebrate the title with him. No cameras, no trophies—just genuine friendship and Barça pride.
Focused on Recovery… and What’s Next
Ferran is reportedly recovering well and could be discharged soon, though his participation in Friday’s victory parade remains uncertain. He’s taking a cautious approach, prioritizing a full recovery in hopes of being included in Luis de la Fuente’s squad for the UEFA Nations League—though that currently seems unlikely.
Most likely, he’ll rejoin the squad for the official celebration at Camp Nou next Tuesday, where he’ll get to share the joy with the fans. For now, he holds on to an unexpected visit, the happiness of the title, and of course… a flan for dessert.
