After his team's loss to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey round of 16, Israel García, Barbastro's 26-year-old midfielder, experienced an unforgettable personal moment. The player surprised his girlfriend by proposing to her on the field, in a heartfelt gesture after the final whistle.
Barcelona, with a dominant 0-4 victory, eliminated Barbastro, a team from the Segunda RFEF, from the competition. Although the locals dreamed of another cup upset, the Catalan team showed their superiority, controlling the match from the outset. Barbastro, with a defensive setup, couldn’t withstand the offensive power of Barça, who asserted their dominance with goals from Eric García, Robert Lewandowski (twice), and Pablo Torre.
