Barcelona Confirms Ferran Torres Injury: Diagnosis and Recovery Time
Barcelona has released a medical report for Spanish winger Ferran Torres, detailing the injury he sustained during the match against Alavés.
Barcelona forward Ferran Torres suffered an injury in the opening minutes of the match against Alavés, and on Monday, after undergoing the necessary medical tests, the club released a medical report. Unfortunately, the news is not good.
Ferran Torres has sustained a muscle injury to the biceps femoris of his right thigh, according to a statement from Barcelona on their social media platforms.
However, the club did not specify the recovery time for the Spanish winger, something they did clarify in the case of Dani Olmo, who was ruled out for 4 to 5 weeks.
Recovery Time
In Ferran's case, Barcelona stated that "the return to training will depend on his recovery progress."
Nevertheless, according to AS, the estimated recovery time for Ferran is around 5 to 6 weeks. This would see him miss key matches such as the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich and El Clásico against Real Madrid.
Injury List
In addition to Ferran Torres, Barcelona's coach Hansi Flick currently has seven other players sidelined with injuries: goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen, defenders Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo, and midfielders Pablo Páez Gavira 'Gavi', Fermín López, Dani Olmo, and Marc Bernal.
