Barcelona Is Working to Sign this Right-Back from Monaco
Barcelona has been studying the profile of Vanderson, right-back from Monaco and international with Brazil, for months
With many objectives still to be settled in these final months of the season, Barcelona's sporting management has been working with Hansi Flick for months to shape the squad for next season and determine which key positions need to be reinforced during the summer. Among them is the right-back position, and there is one name that has been linked to the club for a while now.

Vanderson enters Barcelona's radar
As reported by 'Sport', it is Vanderson: right-back from Monaco and full international with Brazil since 2023... although it wasn't until after the latest Copa América that he began to gain more attention in the national team under Dorival Jr. In fact, he was a starter in the victory against Colombia... and all signs point to him starting again at El Monumental against Argentina.
This is due to his exponential growth since arriving at Monaco from Grêmio, a move that Deco had been monitoring for some time, during the winter market of 2022 for 11 million euros. In fact, this season he has started in 32 of the 34 matches he has played... in which he has managed to score two goals and provide four assists.
Vanderson: the best Brazilian right-back in Europe
In the five major European leagues, there is no Brazilian right-back who comes close to the impressive numbers Vanderson is putting up in his third full season at Monaco. In fact, he has already matched the goal production he had in his best season at Grêmio before arriving at Louis II... and still has time to surpass it.
Barcelona's plan is to sign a right-back who offers different qualities than Jules Koundé and who also has some experience in Europe. Conditions that, at 23 years old, have made Vanderson the preferred option... even though his contract runs until 2028 and talks with Monaco have yet to take place. Flick, however, has given his approval.
