Barcelona’s Earnings after Beating Real Madrid to The LaLiga Title
FC Barcelona’s recent LaLiga championship victory not only brought joy to their fans, but also gave the club a significant financial boost. Having clinched the domestic title just a week ago, the Catalan side is set to earn over €150 million from television rights and performance-related bonuses.
According to the revenue-sharing model set by Spain’s centralized broadcasting rights decree, First Division teams receive 90% of the income generated from audiovisual rights. Of the €1.348 billion collected by LaLiga this season, around €1.231 billion is allocated to top-flight clubs. Roughly €600 million of that is divided equally, while the rest is distributed based on league standings and results over the past five seasons.
In this scenario, Barcelona, as league champions, received the largest share of the pie: €153 million. Additionally, winning the title secures them another €58 million in staggered payments over the next five years. The first installment, worth €20 million, will arrive in the 2025–26 season.
Raphinha and Lamine Yamal: Faces of the New Barça
The team’s outstanding season wouldn’t be possible without key contributions from players like Raphinha, who just extended his contract until 2028. The Brazilian is enjoying the best season of his career, with 34 goals and 22 assists in 56 matches, and has emerged as a central figure under Hansi Flick.
“My dream is to finish my career at Barcelona. This is a very special time for me and I want to keep helping the team win titles,” Raphinha told the club’s media.
Meanwhile, rising star Lamine Yamal also looks set to stay. His agent, Jorge Mendes, confirmed that the winger will soon renew his contract with the club, putting any doubts to rest: “He’s going to be the best player in the world and he will win the Ballon d’Or,” Mendes stated confidently.
While Real Madrid is planning reinforcements for the upcoming season, Barça is celebrating not just the league title, but also the commitment of their top talents. With more financial stability and a growing sporting project, the Catalan giants seem to have found the balance they’ve been striving for.
