Concern at Real Madrid over Ceballos' Injury: Is it More Serious than It Seems?
Dani Ceballos left the field injured in the final minutes of the match against Real Sociedad, and it is estimated that he will be out for between three and four weeks
Thanks to a solitary goal from Endrick in the first half, Real Madrid defeated Real Sociedad at Anoeta and gained an advantage in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey. A victory that, however, may have come at a high cost for Real Madrid, as Dani Ceballos had to leave the game in the final minutes, and the injury seems more serious than initially expected.

What happened to Ceballos?
In injury time, Dani Ceballos suffered a heavy blow with Take Kubo, and the referee was forced to stop the game due to the noticeable signs of pain from the Real Madrid midfielder. In fact, the medical staff from Real Madrid had to attend to the player on the pitch, who was able to walk off the field… but with significant difficulty.
At first, no major issues were detected, just a typical knee-to-knee impact. However, Carlo Ancelotti reassured the Real Madrid fans after the match by revealing that “he had a muscular problem.” Later, Edu Aguirre revealed on ‘El Chiringuito’ that the knee problems persisted and were more serious than initially thought.
Real Madrid provides an update on Ceballos' injury
Throughout the morning, the medical services of Real Madrid have conducted several tests on Dani Ceballos, and the results were not positive: “After the tests carried out today on our player Dani Ceballos by the Medical Services of Real Madrid, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semimembranosus muscle affecting the tendon of his left leg. Pending further evaluation.”
However, Diario AS was able to confirm that the estimated recovery time for Dani Ceballos will be between three and four weeks. This means he will not be available for the Champions League knockout round against Atlético de Madrid. A significant loss, considering that he has become an indispensable player for Real Madrid after the departure of Toni Kroos.
