End of the Vinícius 'Soap Opera' at Real Madrid?
According to reports coming from Spain, Vinícius Jr and Real Madrid have reached an agreement to renew his current contract
It was first reported by 'SER' late at night in Spain… and all of the country’s major media outlets have echoed the news. Despite the relentless pressure from Saudi Arabia over the past year, Vinícius Jr is said to have decided to accept the offer that had been on the table from Real Madrid, and apparently, both parties have reached a preliminary agreement to extend his current deal.

Vinícius will renew with Real Madrid
‘SER’ itself, through Manu Carreño on 'El Larguero', was the first media outlet in Spain to report this several weeks ago. That report was confirmed last night, announcing that Vinícius had turned down the option of continuing to listen to the lucrative offers coming from his circle, particularly from Saudi Arabia… of which Real Madrid was fully aware.
Vinícius himself was the first to realize that a move to Saudi Arabia, even for a short period of time, would kill his chances of ever winning the coveted Ballon d'Or. That’s why, as reported by 'MARCA' yesterday, he gradually began to close the gap with Real Madrid in order to reach a fair agreement for both sides, considering his new status as a player… despite the dip in performance he’s experienced this season.
“I want to stay here for a long time”
Many critics argued that this was the perfect time to put Vinícius on the market and accept the offer from Saudi Arabia. In fact, despite signing a nearly lifelong contract, everything seemed to indicate that at the Santiago Bernabéu, they had a roadmap ready in case they decided to sell Vinícius to go after Haaland. However, it seems that no one decided to push the red button and, in principle, Real Madrid is expected to announce his renewal once the season ends… although all the details are already finalized.
Last weekend, Vinícius spoke to Real Madrid TV after reaching 200 wins since arriving at the Santiago Bernabéu… and sent a strong message: “I’ve made it this far with a lot of hard work, a lot of sacrifice, and with the help of everyone at this club. I need to keep going because I want to stay here for a long time, and hopefully I can keep making history.” According to Fabrizio Romano, his wishes are close to coming true… although the dates of his new contract still need to be finalized. At the moment, it seems it will run until 2030, though there’s a chance Vinícius may renew until 2029 with an option for one more season.
