A Promising Start

Under the guidance of Hansi Flick, Barça managed to break their scoring drought at Getafe's home ground, where they hadn’t found the net in four seasons. Just 9 minutes into the match, a brilliant play started by Alejandro Balde ended with a pinpoint pass from Pedri to Jules Koundé, who capitalized on a mistake by keeper David Soria to put the visitors ahead.

But the lead didn’t last. In the 35th minute, after some sloppy defending, Mauro Arambarri leveled the score, pouncing on a rebound in the box after a strike from Coba Gomes Da Costa.

In the second half, Barcelona took complete control of the game. Substitutes Frenkie de Jong and Dani Olmo energized the team, pinning Getafe back into their own half.
