Fede Valverde: The Most Complete Player According to Carlo Ancelotti
The Italian strategist highlighted Valverde's versatility and his impact on the team, stating that his ability to excel in multiple positions makes him a key figure for the Madrid squad.
Carlo Ancelotti, head coach of Real Madrid, showered praise on Uruguayan midfielder Fede Valverde, whom he described as "the most complete player in football."
"Fede is a complete and very important player. He can cover many positions, and he performs perfectly in all of them. It's very difficult to find a right-back like him. For me, it's challenging to decide his best position depending on the game. Sometimes we need him more as a full-back, and in others, as a holding midfielder," said Ancelotti.
He also emphasized Valverde's willingness to adapt to the team's needs, calling it one of his greatest strengths. "I make the decisions, but the player is always available. He never asks for anything. That is his strength, and that's why I believe he's arguably the most complete player in football. He could even play as a center-back without any problem," added the coach.
Valverde and Rodrygo: Real Madrid's Key Players
Alongside Fede Valverde, who has played the most minutes for Real Madrid this season, Ancelotti also praised the progress of Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes. Rodrygo has been instrumental in the team's three consecutive victories following their defeat in the Spanish Super Cup.
"What stands out about Rodrygo now is the consistency he lacked in the past. Before, he shone in some games but was less impactful in others. Now, he's been consistent, scoring goals and providing assists. In his last nine games, he has scored eight goals and registered three assists," said Ancelotti, highlighting the young forward's impressive form.
A Team in Recovery
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Aurélien Tchouaméni will be available for the next match after overcoming a minor issue. Meanwhile, Eduardo Camavinga is ahead of schedule in recovering from a muscle injury and could return as early as next week.
Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos has also earned a starting spot, which Ancelotti attributed to his hard work and recovery from previous injuries. "Now the team feels more secure with the ball when he's on the pitch. In important games, he can play without us having to take out any of our forwards," the coach added.
Focus on LaLiga
The Italian manager emphasized the importance of the upcoming match against Real Valladolid, calling it key to maintaining the top spot in LaLiga. He ruled out major rotations for the game. "The goal is clear: we've reached the top of the standings, and we need to keep that position in this crucial part of the season," he stated.
Finally, after a period of reflection, Ancelotti assured that he is now calmer after previously showing frustration during press conferences. "I've reflected over the past few days because I've gotten angry too often in press conferences. I know why it happened, but I need to stay calm," he concluded.
