Lamine Yamal speaks after scoring again and beating Real Madrid in El Clásico
FC Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal was all smiles after their thrilling 4-3 win over Real Madrid in El Clásico. “It was a must-win game to keep our title hopes alive in LaLiga,” he said after the final whistle.
A crucial win after a European blow
The young winger gave even more value to the result—not just because it was a Clásico, but also for what it meant emotionally after their painful Champions League exit against Inter Milan. “Winning today in front of our fans was huge, especially after what happened in our last Champions League match,” he told Movistar+.
Despite the win, Lamine Yamal was critical of the team’s defending: “We’ve got to fix those little mistakes, those goals we gave away at the end. They didn’t even create that many clear chances.”
Barça fans always behind the team
He also showed love to the fans for sticking with the team through a challenging season: “It hasn’t been easy this year, especially not playing at Camp Nou, but they’ve been right there cheering us on every time.”
To wrap it up, the academy star shared an optimistic message about the club’s future in Europe: “I already told my mom—don’t worry, we’ll keep trying every year in the Champions League until we finally win it. But today, this win was key to staying in the fight for LaLiga,” he added.
