Mbappé: From Not Giving Up on Love to Suffering a Terrible Injury with Real Madrid That Could Keep Him Out of the Intercontinental Cup
Kylian Mbappé, the star signing for Real Madrid, has gone from publicly searching for love to facing a potential setback with his team. Just days after expressing his openness to "falling in love" again, the French forward suffered an injury that may keep him out of the highly anticipated Intercontinental Cup competition.
The Intercontinental Cup Final is scheduled for December 18 at 12:00 PM ET, 11:00 AM MT, 8:00 AM PT, and will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS.
Mbappé's Heartfelt Comments on Love
In a recent interview, Mbappé shared his thoughts on love and life, revealing that he is not closed off to the idea of falling in love again. He opened up about his past experiences, saying, "Yes, I’ve been in love before, and I hope to be again. But not right now. It’s not that I don’t think about it; it’s just that sometimes I wonder, imagine if, with everything you’re going through, someone was by your side."
He added, "My life has been built this way, for these moments. The person by my side is not necessarily prepared for all that comes with it," reflecting on his unique lifestyle as a professional footballer.
Mbappé's Injury Raises Concerns
Shortly after these statements, Mbappé was forced to leave the field during a Champions League match, despite scoring earlier in the game. His sudden exit raised alarms among Real Madrid fans, as the player was seen limping off the pitch.
Following an evaluation by the Real Madrid medical team, it was confirmed that Mbappé had sustained a thigh injury to his left leg. Reports suggest that he may miss the upcoming Intercontinental Cup match scheduled for December 18.
"Following tests conducted on Kylian Mbappé, he has been diagnosed with a thigh injury in his left leg," the club announced on its website.
Will Mbappé Be Ready for the Intercontinental Cup?
Mbappé is expected to be sidelined for about ten days, which means he will miss Real Madrid's match against Rayo Vallecano. His participation in the Intercontinental Cup, however, remains uncertain.
The Intercontinental Cup final represents a chance for Real Madrid to secure their second title of the season, following their victory in the UEFA Super Cup, where Mbappé scored a crucial goal. If he recovers in time, Mbappé may play a key role as a substitute rather than starting the match. His status will depend on his recovery in the coming days.
This situation comes after a strong performance in his last two matches, where Mbappé scored twice and overcame previous doubts caused by missed penalties against Liverpool and Athletic Club.
