More Problems for Flick: Barcelona Runs Out of Center-Backs
Cubarsí's injury with Spain has left Barcelona without center-backs for the upcoming match against Osasuna
This FIFA window is proving to be a real nightmare for Hanoi Flick and FC Barcelona, who keep facing new problems ahead of the rescheduled match against Osasuna, set for March 27th, after LaLiga and the Federation rejected the appeal filed by both clubs to play the match on a later date.

Cubarsí joins the absences of Iñigo Martínez and Christensen
It all started with the confirmation of Marc Casadó, who suffered a knee injury in Barcelona's last match against Atlético de Madrid at the Metropolitano, which prevented him from joining Spain… and he will be sidelined for an estimated two months. However, the big gap Flick will find upon returning to Barcelona is in the central defense position.
Now, after learning of Casadó's injury, Barcelona issued a statement confirming that Iñigo Martínez would also be out with Spain due to muscular problems. And yesterday, also with Spain, Pau Cubarsí had to be substituted in the first half due to an ankle issue. Luis De la Fuente said it wasn't serious. But the call-up of Mario Gila after the match suggests something isn't right.
Who will play against Osasuna?
Thus, it seems that Hansi Flick won't be able to count on his regular center-back pairing. But, in addition to the absences of Pau Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, and Andreas Christensen, Ronald Araujo will also be missing. His situation has nothing to do with a physical setback, but rather with being recovered to face Osasuna on March 27th, when Uruguay plays in Bolivia on the 25th at night.
With that, of the five center-backs available to the Barcelona squad, Hansi Flick will only have Eric García available to face Osasuna, who has recently been seen playing in midfield. Therefore, Flick will have to experiment, and perhaps it’s the right moment for Koundé to return to central defense.
