Tchouaméni Calm After Blow and Focused on The Final against Barcelona
Frenchman Aurélien Tchouaméni appeared optimistic after suffering a strong blow to the face during the Super Cup of Spain semifinal, which led to his substitution. The midfielder, who was hit in a clash with an opponent, clarified that it was not serious and that it was a precautionary measure by the medical staff. "I'm fine, nothing happened. The medical staff said it was better for me to leave the field, even though it wasn't serious. I feel good, and I will recover well for the next match," Tchouaméni explained on Movistar+. Fortunately, he did not lose consciousness and was able to speak normally after the incident.
In his statement, Tchouaméni also took the opportunity to lament the behavior of RCD Mallorca player Maffeo, who was once again involved in several altercations with Vinícius Jr. The Frenchman did not hide his frustration but emphasized that the team stayed focused on what mattered: reaching the final. "There is a player from Mallorca that we always have problems with. People got a little upset, but the most important thing is to win and reach the final. We don’t want to talk about this guy because that’s what he wants," he said.
The midfielder, who has been used as a central defender due to the defensive injuries that Carlo Ancelotti is dealing with, also praised Jude Bellingham's importance in the team. "We know Jude is a phenomenal player, he helps us win games all the time with goals, assists, and his commitment. We have a great squad, and we will keep going until the end of the season because we are playing really well right now," he said, emphasizing the team’s strength.
Regarding the Super Cup final, Tchouaméni made it clear that his goal is to win the next match against FC Barcelona. "Barcelona won yesterday, and today we had to win so we could have a classic in the final, which we have to win," he stated, with his focus set on the Sunday showdown, which promises to be crucial for both teams.
With renewed optimism and a mindset focused on victory, Tchouaméni is ready for the Super Cup of Spain final and to contribute to his team's success. Despite the blow he took, the Frenchman reaffirms his commitment to Real Madrid and is prepared for what will be an exciting classic against Barcelona.
