Will the Barcelona vs Real Madrid Clásico Be Played at the New Camp Nou?
The FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid Clásico, scheduled for May 11, 2025, remains uncertain as to whether it will take place at the newly renovated Spotify Camp Nou. Club vice president Elena Fort confirmed that the club cannot guarantee a return to their iconic stadium by that date.
Current Status of the Camp Nou Renovation
Speaking to Catalunya Ràdio, Fort stated that while progress is being made at a rapid pace, the final decision will depend on the completion timeline and safety evaluations.
"We shared photos of the new seats being installed, the pitch is being worked on, and interior developments are advancing well. However, we will assess in due time whether playing the last home games of the season at Camp Nou is viable," she explained.
For now, Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (Montjuïc) remains Barcelona's official home venue, and Fort confirmed that if the team reaches the Champions League semifinals, those matches will be played at Montjuïc.

Impact of a Possible Camp Nou Return
The Spotify Camp Nou is undergoing a major transformation as part of the Espai Barça project, aiming to modernize the stadium and enhance the fan experience.
However, safety, infrastructure, and operational readiness will ultimately determine whether Barcelona can host the Clásico at Camp Nou or continue at Montjuïc until the end of the season.
