Barcelona Arrives at Second Stop on Their Preseason Tour
The Catalan side continues their Asia tour with two friendlies in South Korea, where Lamine Yamal drew massive attention from local fans.
After a brief stay in Kobe, Japan—where they secured a 3-1 victory over Vissel Kobe—Barcelona landed in Seoul, South Korea, to carry out the second phase of their preseason. The team will face Seoul FC and Daegu FC in two exhibition matches.
The arrival of Hansi Flick’s squad created a major buzz at Seoul's international airport, with crowds of fans gathering to welcome the players. The most celebrated figure was undoubtedly Lamine Yamal, who received enthusiastic cheers from dozens of supporters awaiting his arrival.
Training in Goyang and Player Updates
Barcelona held their first training session in South Korea at Goyang Stadium. The only absentee was Eric García, who trained separately due to discomfort in his left leg.
The coaching staff is also closely monitoring Marc Bernal, who missed the entire previous season with a ligament injury. Although he traveled with the team to Asia, it's unlikely he will play in either of the upcoming matches.
Barcelona’s first game in Korea will take place on Thursday, July 31, against Seoul FC at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, a larger venue suited for high-profile matches. The second encounter is set for Monday, August 4, against Daegu FC.
New Kit Pays Tribute to Kobe Bryant
In the matchup against Seoul FC, Barcelona will debut their new away kit for the 2025–26 season. The design is part of a collaboration between Nike and Kobe Bryant's 'Black Mamba' brand. The jersey features a snakeskin-inspired pattern as a nod to the late basketball legend and will serve as the club’s secondary uniform throughout the season.
