Barcelona Leads the World Cup Call-Ups With 16 Players in the 2026 World Cup.
Barcelona confirms its global weight and becomes the club with the greatest presence at the event in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The club with the most call-ups
With the addition of Englishman Anthony Gordon, coming from Newcastle, the Catalan club has become the institution in the five major European leagues with the highest number of players called up for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In total, 16 Barça players will be present at the premier event of international football, matching the number from Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.
La Roja and Barcelona
The Spanish national team is the one that draws the most from the bluegrana talent: Luis de la Fuente called up eight representatives from Barça, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Cubarsí, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres, Joan García, Eric García, and Gavi, to try to repeat the feat of South Africa 2010 and add a second star. This block makes the Catalan team the main support of "La Roja."
The international presence is complemented by heavyweight names in other teams. England will have Gordon and the loaned Marcus Rashford; Brazil with Raphinha; the Netherlands with Frenkie de Jong; France with Jules Koundé; Uruguay with Ronald Araújo; Portugal with João Cancelo; and Egypt with Hamza Abdelkarim.

The other clubs from the list
The ranking of clubs with the most internationals is followed by Paris Saint-Germain, Champions League winners, with 14 players. Next come Atlético de Madrid and Crystal Palace (11), Liverpool (10), and a group with nine representatives, Real Madrid, which for the first time does not provide players to Spain, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and AC Milan. Olympique de Marseille, Stuttgart, and Sunderland close with eight players each.
For Barça, this figure of 16 internationals represents the second highest in its history in a World Cup, only surpassed by Qatar 2022, when it had 17 players in the competition. The massive presence of Barça players confirms the club's weight on the global stage and positions it as one of the main protagonists of the event that will captivate the football world.
