Lamine Yamal Delivers Good News to Barcelona Ahead of the Spanish Super Cup Final
Lamine Yamal Returns to Training Ahead of Supercopa Final Against Real Madrid
FC Barcelona completed its second full training session this Saturday with a major boost: Lamine Yamal is back with the group. After starting on the bench against Athletic Club due to stomach issues, the young star has confirmed his recovery and is expected to be in the starting lineup for Sunday’s Spanish Supercopa final against Real Madrid..
Celebrations and New Promotions
The session, led by Hansi Flick, began with a lighthearted atmosphere. The squad welcomed two teammates with the traditional "birthday tunnel":
- Eric García: Celebrating his 25th birthday (January 9).
- Roony Bardghji: The Swedish talent officially joined the first-team roster this week. After playing the first half of the season with the reserves, he will now wear the number 19 shirt, effective this Sunday.

Ter Stegen Rejoins the Squad
German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen also made an appearance at the training ground. He had briefly left the team on January 6 to undergo medical tests on his knee in Barcelona. Fortunately, tests ruled out any injury, and although Joan García is expected to start the final, the captain wanted to be present to support the team for the season's first El Clásico trophy.
Final Tactical Adjustments
Before drills began, Flick held a brief two-minute pitch-side meeting to finalize tactical details. With Yamal fully fit and the group motivated, the German coach is refining the strategy to secure his first title since arriving at the club.
