Marcus Rashford Officially Presented as New Barcelona Player
Marcus Rashford has officially been unveiled as the latest signing of FC Barcelona, after completing his medical on Monday and signing his contract with the Catalan club.
The English forward landed in Barcelona on Sunday to finalize his loan move from Manchester United, which includes a purchase option of approximately $35 million. Initially expected to be presented on Tuesday, the club postponed the event due to a double training session scheduled by head coach Hansi Flick.
Rashford was finally introduced to the fans on Wednesday at the club store located in the Spotify Camp Nou, where he posed with President Joan Laporta and gave his first statements as a Barça player.
A Strategic Signing for the Attack
After Nico Williams decided to remain at Athletic Club and Liverpool rejected an offer for Luis Díaz, Barcelona shifted their focus to Rashford. The versatile forward, capable of playing across the front line, arrives on loan in a deal seen as low-risk financially, with the potential for high reward if he can rediscover his best form.
Despite a dip in performance in recent seasons, Rashford remains a player of proven quality and international experience. His signing is seen as an opportunity to reignite his career at one of Europe’s top clubs.
Set to Join the Asia Tour
The Catalan club fast-tracked the deal to ensure Rashford could join the squad for their upcoming tour in Japan and South Korea. Barcelona will face Vissel Kobe on July 27, Seoul on July 31, and Daegu on August 4.

Rashford will wear the number 14 shirt with Barça, and his jerseys are already available at the club’s official store. Fans are eager to see how he adapts to LaLiga and contributes to the team’s attacking ambitions this season.
