Real Madrid 3-2 Leganes: Mbappe brace completes comeback to maintain pressure on Barca
Kylian Mbappe took his LaLiga goal tally for the season to 22, as Real Madrid survived a scare against relegation-threatened Leganes.
Kylian Mbappe scored twice as Real Madrid came from behind to edge out lowly Leganes 3-2, and move level on points with LaLiga leaders Barcelona.
Jude Bellingham was also on target for Carlo Ancelotti's side, who overturned a 2-1 deficit to claim victory at Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute. Mbappe coolly chipped the ball home from the penalty spot, after Oscar Rodriguez fouled Arda Guler in the box.
However, Leganes were level within 60 seconds. Lucas Vazquez failed to deal with Valentin Rosier's cross, and Diego Garcia was on hand to apply the finishing touch.
Borja Jimenez's side then completed the turnaround eight minutes later, as Dani Raba turned home Rodriguez's low cross from close range.
The hosts were level within 90 minutes of the second half when an almighty goalmouth scramble culminating in Bellingham thumping the ball into the back of the net.
Brahim Diaz struck the post before Mbappe sealed the victory with a quarter of an hour remaining, curling in a superb free-kick to apply the pressure on Barcelona, who host Girona on Sunday.
Data Debrief: Comeback kings Madrid strike again
