Will Lamine Yamal Start for Barcelona Against FC Seoul in South Korea?
FC Barcelona continues its preseason tour through Asia and has now landed in South Korea, where they’ll face local sides in two friendlies. Fans are especially eager to see if young star Lamine Yamal will be part of the starting lineup against FC Seoul.
Flick confirms Yamal in the starting XI
Speaking at a press conference in Seoul, Barça head coach Hansi Flick confirmed that Yamal will start in the friendly scheduled for Thursday, July 31, at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
“He has exceptional talent. He’s incredible and can decide matches. I’m very happy to have him on my team,” said the German coach.
“Of course, he will play tomorrow,” he added confidently.
This will be Barcelona’s first match in South Korea since 2010, and the first of two games on their Korean tour.
Lewandowski, Raphinha and Araújo also in the squad
In addition to Yamal, Barcelona traveled with several key players including Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Ronald Araújo. Flick’s decision to bring a strong squad underlines his commitment to building momentum ahead of the new season.
Barça are coming off a 3–1 win over Vissel Kobe last week in Japan.
When is the next game in Korea?
The second match of the Korean tour will take place on Monday, August 4, when Barça take on FC Daegu. Both games will be available for free via YouTube, giving global fans the chance to follow the team closely during this stage of preseason.
