(VIDEO) Strasbourg Presents Valentín "Colo" Barco as New Signing
Valentín "Colo" Barco, the Argentine left-back, will be the new player for Strasbourg, on loan with an option to buy from Brighton. This loan will mark his return to French football after spending the first half of the season at Sevilla.
Another Step in His European Career
Valentín Barco, originally from Buenos Aires and just 20 years old, made his move to European football in January 2024, when he joined Brighton from Boca Juniors. During his short time at Brighton, he played six matches before being loaned to Sevilla, where he made just seven appearances in LaLiga EA Sports, totaling 287 minutes. He also featured in Copa del Rey matches against Las Rozas and Olot.
Joining Strasbourg’s History
With his move to Strasbourg, Barco will become the 11th Argentine player in the club's history, following in the footsteps of big names like Carlos Bianchi, José Farias, and Ramón Müller. His signing is a clear indication of the club's desire to strengthen their squad with young, promising talent in European football.
